Mila is a splendid villa with swimming pool situated in Milo, a small, renowned village on the slopes of Mount Etna. Set in a quiet, sunny and panoramic position, the property enjoys wonderful, relaxing views over the Ionian sea from the beautiful saltwater pool (chlorine-free), well-kept garden and spacious equipped terraces. Recently restored, this stone farmhouse evokes the atmosphere, charm and elegance of old Sicily. Spread over two floors, the cosy interior features select antiques, upholstery and local materials such as lava stone, wood, ceramic tiles. The ground floor includes a living room with fireplace, a kitchen with dining area, a bedroom with en-suite bathroom, two further bedrooms, one of which is walk through, and two bathrooms. On the first floor are three comfortable bedrooms (two with en-suite bathroom), a further bathroom and a large panoramic terrace. The villa is equipped with internet Wi-Fi, satellite TV, A/C, dryer, washing machine and dishwasher. From villa Mila can be easily reached the other characteristic villages and natural beauties of the Etna Park and the most popular towns on the Ionian coast, such as Taormina, Catania and Syracuse.

We hired Villa Mila as we were attending a family wedding in Taormina. As a party of ten, 5 adults and 5 children (aged 3 months to 11 years) it was absolutely perfect for our needs. It is an extremely well equipped villa with plenty of room both inside and out and surrounded by wonderful gardens full of cherry trees, lavender and jasmine. The swimming pool is large and placed at the bottom of the garden with plenty of sun beds and the most fantastic views over the sea. The owner Stefania was totally charming and went out of her way to be helpful to us and was on the end of a phone if needed. Milo is quite a small place but has a lovely bakery and a couple of supermarkets but for more supplies we went into Zafferana Etnea which was only a ten minute drive and has everything you need including bars, cafes and gelato!! If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay away from the hustle and bustle then I would certainly recommend Villa Mila.
